General Information

Where Are We?

We are located on a showground called Arena UK in Grantham, Nottinghamshire. We are just 1 hour on a train from London!

There's lots of parking available and also a shuttle bus coming regularly from Grantham Station.

How Many Stages Are There?

There are 5 stages at Ramroot Festival 2025.

The Ramroot Stage

Powered by Sinai Sound, this is the main outdoor stage. Here we're hosting a wide variety of Dub, Live Band, Jazz, Reggae & Ska, Soul, Gypsy and more.

The Warehouse

A rave highlight, we made sure to get some drum & bass legends involved in this stage for when you want to get stomping. We've got a great selection of drum & bass, jungle, breakbeats, liquid, jump-up, neurofunk and more. Powered by Raze Sound System, you know that the sound will be top notch.

The Chillout Lounge

In partnership with legendary group Smokey Tentacles, there will be a large Moroccan style shisha lounge with cushions, tables, and a zone to relax and unwind. We will be featuring a variety of Downtempo, Reggae, World, Poetry & Rap, Folk and Trip Hop artists in there.

The Jam Tent

Here things will get! We will set up some instruments and invite some great musicians from the crowd and festival audience to come and explore musically with us. Lets make some magic happen.

The Garage

Powered by Green King Sound System, this stage covers UK Garage, Chillout & Lofi House, Tech House, Bass Heavy Dubstep and Bassline music. Expect the ground to be shaking on this one!

 

 

What Type of Music?

The festival is here to cater to a wide variety of tastes and interests, we are sure there will be something for everyone. From Dub, Live Band, Jazz, Gypsy, Ska, Funk & Soul to Drum & Bass, Jungle, House and Bass music, we have many bases covered.

What Is The Site Like?

The site is located on a showground In Grantham, UK. The main arena is hosted across two 30 acre fields, and there is additional space available for camping, and a warehouse stage.

The site is of a medium size and there is not a huge amount of walking from the car park, around the campsite and to the main arena.

When Does The Festival Open?

The festival campsite opens at 10am on Saturday 5th July.

What Time Does The Music Stop?

Our licence for sound systems is until 4am each night!

Are you Family Friendly?

We are a family friendly event! The warehouse stage is strictly 18+, however the rest of the festival is family friendly and we have many activities to keep the children entertained.

Can I Bring My Pet?

As it stands, we unfortunately cannot allow animals to be brought to the event. We are hoping as the festival grows we can begin to allow this, however this year please leave your animals in good care!

Do Children / Teenagers Get Free Entry?

Anyone under the age of 16 is allowed to enter the festival for free, as long as they are accompanies by an adult. ID is required to prove their age.

A maximum of two children can be accompanied by one adult.

Is There A Bar?

Yes, we will have a fully stocked bar for the event. Please support the festival by purchasing drinks where possible in the main arena instead of bringing large quantities of alcohol - this allows us to keep the prices lower for everyone and ensure we can have a successful festival for all the staff, artists and organizers involved.

What Food Is Available On Site?

Vendors for Ramroot Festival 2025 are still being confirmed, and we will be posting these as they come. However be assured, we will be bringing a great selection of food vendors for your sensory pleasure.

Are there showers available?

Yes, there are showers available to use!

Are you open 24 hours?

Yes! The site is open between saturday at 10am until monday 1pm. You are free to enter and leave the site at any time, and there are no access restrictions at any time, even after the music stops.

Are Fires Allowed?

Fires are not allowed on personal level due to our insurance, however we will have several dedicated fire pits in the evening for you to sit around, with music and jams happening around some of them!

How Do I Contact You?

Is Wi-Fi Available?

In various areas, Wi-Fi is available, however we cannot guarantee that it is always going to be reliable due to the amount of attendees. However the mobile data signal in the arena is usually very good.

Where Can I Buy Tickets?

Our tickets are available on TicketBucket, Resident Advisor & EventBrite.

Can I Re-Sell My Ticket?

Yes, we are totally fine with you reselling tickets! Just remember there are many scammers out there, and to confirm payment first. Each ticket has a QR code which can only be scanned once, so if two people try to use the same ticket, it won't work.

Please be careful when buying 2nd hand tickets, it is very risky as you do not know if the person has sold that ticket to another person. We always recommend buying the ticket from the official website.

I Can't Attend The Event. Can I Get A Refund?

Unfortunately we cannot offer refunds for any reason other than a cancellation or reschedule for this event.

I Lost My Ticket Email, What Do I Do?

Are Day Tickets Available?

We will be selling day tickets closer to the event

Getting Here

By Train

The nearest train station to us is Grantham, UK.

We will have a shuttle bus service available offering regular pickups. Please see our Shuttle Bus page for more information.

By Car

Arena UK Showground is in Grantham, and can be accessed using the A1.

Please refer to this document for directions on how to get to us.

By Plane

The closest airports to us include:

East Midlands (EMA) Airport (30 miles)

Birmingham (55 miles)

Luton (72 miles)

Manchester (75 miles)

London Stansted (80 miles)

Do I Need To Reserve Car Parking?

We have a large hard-floor car parking area for you to use if you are coming by car. Please be resourceful and carpool if you can, as it will only make the experience better for everyone.

In order to manage capacity, a car parking pass has to be purchased separately to the ticket for £10. These can be purchased in cash on the day, however we advise purchasing in advance to ensure that they do not run out!

Camping

Is Camping Available?

Yes! We have a dedicated camp site space for you to pitch your tent in. 

Camping is available for 2 nights, saturday and sunday.

Please avoid bringing tents larger than required, in order to make sure that everybody can have the room they need! 

ComfortCamp

We offer a dedicated ComfortCamp area where we offer both luxury, Pre-Pitched Bell Tents and also pre-pitched tents of various sizes, offering a break from carrying and setting up your own tent.

Quiet Camp

Located a little further away from the main arena, we offer a Quiet Camp which is best suited for families and light sleepers. In this area we have banned the use of portable speakers after the evening, and ask people to keep their general noise down at night.

Are there Pre-Pitched Tents Available?

We offer a dedicated ComfortCamp area where we offer both luxury, Pre-Pitched Bell Tents and also pre-pitched tents of various sizes, offering a break from carrying and setting up your own tent.

I Don't Like Camping. Are There Hotels Available?

There are hotels available in the nearby villages, however it's best to book early as these get booked up very early.

Do You Offer Campervan Tickets?

Yes! We offer campervan and live-in home pitch tickets. These need to be purchases in addition to your regular entry ticket, and are in limited supply, so grab them quick!

We offer two sizes of pitches, 5m x 5m and 5m x 10m.

Is There Quiet Camping Available?

Due to the limited size of the site, we cannot guarantee complete silence while the music is playing. However we do offer a quiet camp, which is far enough away to step away from the hustle and bustle of the main arena.

This area is recommended for families and light sleepers. Please refrain from making excessive noise in this area, and playing music through speakers.

You do not need to reserve quiet camping, please be sure to turn up early enough as space here is limited!

Is there Electricity?

Electricity outlets are available for all bell tents and campervan pitches!

Which Day is x Artist Playing?

We are going to be releasing the day splits within the next few weeks, so please keep an eye out!

What Time Is x Artist Playing?

We will be releasing the time schedule within 30 days of the event, so keep an eye out closer to the time.

When Will More Artists Be Announced?

The Phase 1 Announcement has been made now, and we are in the process of booking for phase 2. 

Expect Phase 2 around march for even more amazing talent coming to join us.

Can I Play at Ramroot Festival?

What Can I Bring?

What Should I Bring?

Here's some recommendations for items which will make sure you have a comfortable experience at Ramroot Festival.

WE RECOMMEND BRINGING WITH YOU:

  • A tent - Please don't bring a tent that is larger than you need, to ensure that there is plenty of space for others to come and camp in the area.
  • A sleeping bag - Even though the festival is in the summer, the nights can get cold. So we recommend a good sleeping bag so you can stay refreshed through the festival.
  • Warm clothes for the evenings and nighttime
  • Suncream, a hat and / or sunglasses.
  • Cash / Backup Card -  You never know when you might lose your payment card. It can be a difficult situation to be stuck without a way of paying for food or transport, so we recommend bringing a backup card and some cash to be sure.
  • Wellies: Although we can all hope that the sun will be shining throughout, if it does rain we recommend bringing some wellies to ensure a comfortable experience and protect your shoes.
  • A torch (charged or with batteries!)
  • Hygiene Equipment! (Toothpaste & Brush, hair products, condoms, feminine products, whatever you require to stay feeling fresh in the field!
  • An open mind and a smile! There's no need to be a stranger here, be kind, make friends and you may find ever lasting connections out in the field.

What Am I Not Allowed To Bring?

PLEASE DO NOT BRING ANY OF THE FOLLOWING ITEMS TO THE FESTIVAL:

  • Glass Bottles or large glass objects
  • Aerosols over 250ml
  • Airhorns and megaphones
  • Animals or Pets
  • Alcohol if under the age of 18
  • Any items which may cause danger, offence or disruption to any other person
  • Any items which may reasonably be considered for use as a weapon
  • Bikes
  • Blowtorches
  • Drones
  • Electrical Generators
  • Speakers / Large Amplifying Equipment (Handheld Portable Speakers Only)
  • Fireworks & Pyrotechnics
  • Flares
  • Illegal Substances
  • Legal Highs
  • New Psychoactive Substances (NPS)
  • Nitrous Oxide
  • Paper Lanterns
  • Petrol Burners
  • Portable Laser Equipment & Pens

What Is Your Drug Policy?

As you can imagine, we are under strict regulations and will not do anything to sacrifice the site licence. We take a strong stance on Illegal Drugs being brought onto, taken or sold on The Festival Site.

If you are seen taking or selling illegal drugs on the site, you will be removed from the site and if appropriate, reported to the police. Please use vigilance and remember the toll that questionable substances spreading around festivals have on peoples lives.

That being said, if you are in trouble, need support, or are having a crisis, we offer a safe space for you to come, without judgement, to get the aid you need. Whether it's a mental health crisis, a health issue, an overdose or you think you need medical assistance, you can be open and honest with us. We are there to help you.

We will also be offering various drug harm reduction notices and teachings on site, to help you make safer choices and avoid dangerous drug combinations.

What Is Your Alcohol Policy?

As a licenced and regulated event, we are required to ID you at the bar to ensure alcohol is only sold to those over 18 years old. Please be respectful to the bar staff, it is a legal obligation not to serve alcohol if we believe you to be too drunk. We will absolutely not tolerate abuse towards our team and you will be quickly removed should it occur.

You are allowed to bring your own alcohol to the festivals, however we limit it to one of the following:

  • 8 cans of cider, beer or mixers
  • 2 bottles of wine
  • 1 Litre of Spirits

Glass is strictly prohibited onsite. Please ensure plastic or metal cans or bottles are used. Any glass containers found on site will be confiscated.

Accessibility

I Have Access Requirements, Do You Offer Any Assistance?

If you have access requirements, we will do our best to accommodate your needs and help you to have a great experience at our festival.

If you require a carers ticket, please get in touch at contact@ramroot.com and let us know. Please do not purchase an extra ticket for the carer, as this will not be refunded.

Health & Wellbeing

What Welfare & Medical Support Is Available?

We have teamed up with the amazing PsyCareUK, a mental health and drug harm-reduction charity aimed at supporting those with welfare crisis'. They will be providing 24 hour support to anyone who needs help, with a chat and a cup of tea.

Additionally, we have a trained team of medical professionals on site 24 hours to aid in any medical emergencies or issues that arise!

What Is The Healing Area?

The healing area aims to be a place of health and relaxation, providing various treatments such as massage, reiki and aromatherapy, as well as activities such as yoga, workshops, meditation sessions and more.
